NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet announced in a press conference on Thursday changes to the state’s roadmap out of lockdown. The announcement comes after Perrottet confirmed on Wednesday that NSW reached the 70% double dose vaccination milestone, allowing the state to emerge from lockdown on October 11.
On the Monday after NSW hits the 80% vaccination mark, 20 visitors will be allowed in homes and 50 people allowed to gather outdoors. Nightclubs will be allowed to reopen for seated drinking, but not dancing.
NSW has hit the 70% vaccination target and will start to reopen on Monday. “This is very much a steady, stable, cautious approach to reopening. Only people who are fully vaccinated are able to participate in most of these activities.”
What people are saying?
Boleyn Badger 70% Average. However, the figures are literally all over the place. We have high vaccination rates in some areas and low rates elsewhere. It’s a shit-show. No science or logic behind the decision to open up on 11/10 at all!!!
Tax Guy Such is the nature of averages. You are a grown up though, so you can stay home and isolate if you want. And other grown ups can make their own decisions too. Awesome concept.
