Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that Australia will reopen its border to international travel

Queensland Health Minister Yvette D’Ath has called for Prime Minister Scott Morrison to provide further details on plans to reopen international travel before Queensland commits to relaxing its restrictions.

Australia will lift its bans on international travel in November to ease restrictions on fully vaccinated citizens and permanent residents, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said Friday. Until last month, the country was set to keep borders closed into 2022.

Australian PM Scott Morrison announces the country will begin easing their travel restrictions as early as next month, ending one of the strict travel bans in the world.

What people are saying?

Saboor Saifi Good news but also lift ban on International students who are trying to come to Australia for study.

Umneea Khan Great news as long as the vaccination targets are met and other SOPs are followed. Hope this is an incentive for people to get vaccinated.

Big Dave Sounds like a dangerous experiment to me. They should consider sending the Police to their home quarantine twice a week to rough them up to keep things safer.
