Fact-checkers from Alt News and Rumor Scanner say a video of a burning building is from a fire at Mara Cherra Bazar in Karatichhara, Tripura not from Rangpur, Bangladesh. The miscaptioned video is not related to the Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council Central Committee and is not connected to the ongoing communal violence in Bangladesh.
A video from Tripura was falsely shared by the handle ‘Bangladesh Hindu Unity Council’ as ongoing communal violence in the country. Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council called the handle “fake”.
What people are saying?
Suhas R If the same was done to Bangladeshi’s in India, our own indian people would have burnt Public property pelting stones and abuse Hindus. Thanks to our leaders who are not doing anything for this.
Cooper Same strategy used by so called fact checkers during POST POLL VIOLENCE of WEST BENGAL…just neglect the real news by fact checking some distorted images or facts..same now this is not checking.
