Single Covid case shuts down Shanghai Disneyland

Thousands of visitors in Shanghai Disneyland were suddenly locked in the theme park. They could leave only after undergoing Covid tests, which ended close to midnight.

Health officials in white protective suits issued orders for Shanghai Disneyland and the neighbouring Disneytown to be closed on October 31 after a recent visitor tested positive for Covid-19.

Thousands were gathered Sunday for Shanghai Disneyland’s Halloween party when suddenly the gates closed and health-care workers fully dressed in white protective suits descended on the site.

What people are saying?

Roy Hanssen It’s not actually, as it’s much easier to stamp out a small cluster of cases. If every country would have done this between December 2019 -February 2020 the pandemic could have already ended or there would at least have been a lot less cases and deaths.

Royce.S.L. That proves Chinese are more valuable compared with the ppl from the rest of the world, case closed. Cross fingers to you guys living outside China, as that much tax you’ve paid did not help to reduce your mortality from the disease.
