Austria will impose a fourth national lockdown on Monday as a record spike in Covid cases threatens to overwhelm its health care system, according to media reports.
Austria, which has one of Europe’s highest Covid infection rates, will enter a 10-day lockdown on Monday. The country will also impose Europe’s first national Covid vaccine mandate in February, Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg said.
