Tens of millions of eligible Americans may start receiving one of three approved COVID-19 vaccine booster shots as early as this week following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s endorsement of Moderna’s and Johnson & Johnson’s boosters on Thursday.
CDC officially endorses booster shots for both the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccines, days after the FDA authorized the additional shots.
CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky endorsed recommendations for booster doses for Moderna’s and Johnson & Johnson’s coronavirus vaccines Thursday. She also endorsed the mix-and-match approach to boosters.

Dave Twardy This is how it goes, if they told everyone from the get go the vaccines only work for 3-6 months how many would have taken them? J&J knew it wasn’t one and done. And it’s not even 2 and done, or 3 or 4. They have to take it slow build trust then pressure with social exclusion.
Joe Hmm I’ve received a flu shot every year for the past 20 or more years. No one ever batted an eyelash. I’ve received both doses of my Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and I’ll gladly roll up my sleeve again for a booster. Lost a cousin to covid, it’s no joke.
