JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon skipped Hong Kong’s stringent quarantine in his first visit to Asia in two and a half years, saying the restrictions were making it harder for the Wall Street bank to retain talent.
JP Morgan’s billionaire chief executive Jamie Dimon was allowed to skip Hong Kong’s strict 21-day hotel quarantine rules because he runs “a very huge bank” with “key business in Hong Kong”, the territory’s chief executive, Carrie Lam, said.
Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan Chase’s chief executive, was given an exemption from Hong Kong’s tough Covid quarantine rules. It was “considered to be in the interest of Hong Kong’s economic development,” the government said.
