NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a “first-in-the-nation” COVID-19 vaccination mandate on Monday for all private employers

On Monday, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a new “first-in-the-nation” COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all private employers in the city, calling it a “pre-emptive strike” ahead of the winter months and the mounting spread of the Omicron variant.

New York City will implement a sweeping vaccine mandate for all private employers that will take effect Dec. 27, Mayor Bill de Blasio said, calling it the first mandate of its kind in the U.S.

New York City will require all private-sector workers to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, Mayor Bill de Blasio said. The new mandate will go into effect Dec. 27.

When Spanish Flu appeared in the United States in 1918, Americans responded to the incursion of disease with measures used since Antiquity, such as quarantines and social distancing. During the pandemic’s zenith, many cities shut down essential services …and closed the schools.

Way to double down rather than work to build trust. I agree vaccines, masks in crowded places, and social distancing are the way to go. BUT, those who aren’t vaxxed by now are because of some political BS or they truly have an allergy. How do we fix this mistrust?
