The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Monday that it granted full approval to Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine, Spikevax, for use in people ages 18 and older. Spikevax had been given emergency authorization for the same age group in December 2020.
Moderna Inc said on Monday it had received full approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its COVID-19 vaccine for individuals 18 years of age and older.
The approval was based on a comprehensive submission package including efficacy and safety data approximately six months after second dose.
