The World Health Organization has issued guidance regarding methods of treatment for COVID-19

Only use treatments for #COVID19 that have been prescribed by your healthcare provider. People have been seriously harmed or died after taking products not approved for COVID-19 treatment.

The anti-inflammatory drug hydroxychloroquine should NOT be used to prevent infection in people who do not have #COVID19, according to the latest WHO clinical care guidance.

This strong recommendation is based on high certainty evidence from six randomised controlled trials involving over 6,000 participants with and without known exposure to a person with #COVID19 infection.
