Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins dies at age 50 for unknown reasons. The band’s statement read, “our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.” Friends, fans and colleagues remember and reflect on Hawkins’s career.

The Foo Fighters drummer had THC, antidepressants, benzodiazepines and opioids in his system, according to Colombia officials who have not yet determined a cause of death.

Toxicological tests on the body of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins preliminarily found 10 psychoactive substances and medicines, including marijuana and opioids, said the Colombia Prosecutor’s Office. The statement did not provide a cause of death.
