New Superman will be revealed as bisexual in an upcoming DC Comics issue

The new Superman will soon begin a romantic relationship with a male friend, DC Comics announced. “The idea of replacing Clark Kent with another straight white savior felt like a missed opportunity,” said Tom Taylor, who writes the series.

The fifth issue of the DC comic series “Superman: Son of Kal-El” will confirm that the new Superman — Jon Kent, child of Clark Kent and Lois Lane — is bisexual, DC announced this week.

Scott Turek I’m all for inclusion. But why not make a new character that is bisexual from the jump instead of changing a character just to say “look, we are inclusive!”? To me, it comes off more as pandering than actually being progressive. I don’t remember any LGBTQ members asking for this.
