Robert Lewandowski wants new challenge. He’s happy at Bayern but concerned about finding a big club at end of current deal in 2023 when he’ll be coming 35. No offer to extend from Bayern currently but they are not keen to sell either and value him around £110m
Robert Lewandowski is obviously brilliant and one of the very best forwards around. But there’s not a single club that is going to pay that figure.
No-one is going near a 32-year-old for anything close to £100m. not in a covid market, not in a pre-covid market, not in a pre-FFP market. no-one.
What people are saying?
Tobi Altschäffl No chance this summer. Can be a topic in summer 2022, if Lewandowski wants to leave.
Jasmine Not seen German outlets lead with the “Lewandowski news” apart from one who took it from Sky. Sounds like a red herring. & tbh, I can’t see him move away this year. Next year? I can see that, also Haaland is available too (I’m not saying that’s a goer) but it makes it interesting.
Tom Carnduff Can totally get why Bayern have put the £100m price tag on Robert Lewandowski. One of the world’s top strikers but nobody is going to pay that when he’s just about to turn 33. Can see him going somewhere else when his contract is up in 2023 but again age will play a part.
