Research shows that renewable energy sources are cost-competitive with fossil fuels

Research shows that renewable energy sources are cost-competitive with fossil fuels and are getting cheaper each year, as multiple news outlets and international organizations report. There are also other long-term, cost-saving benefits to implementing renewable energy sources.

Renewable energy plants are now cheaper to build and run than than running an existing fossil fuel plant. Most new wind and solar projects will be cheaper than coal.

Solar and wind costs are now competitive with the cost of fossil fuels. Further innovation will push these costs even lower in the coming decades.

What people are saying?

HeBrews1812 Having solar panels on each home generating there own power would mean less chance of national grid failure. Also save on land that could be used for agriculture.

But not instantly available. Solar systems don’t work at night and battery storage still needs development. No wind no power. Only nuclear, gas or coal is instantly available for surges in demand. Gas is the solution currently. Small modular nuclear may also work when installed.
