The House of Representatives plans to vote on the Access to Baby Formula Act

The US House of Representatives plans to vote on a bill aimed at alleviating the baby formula shortage on Wednesday. The $28 million Access to Baby Formula Act would allow beneficiaries of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) to apply vouchers to any type of baby formula.

President Biden invoked the Defense Production Act to increase baby formula supplies and offered U.S. planes to speed shipments from abroad as the country faces a shortage that has sown fear and frustration among parents.
