NCAA has adopted a policy that allows student-athletes to earn compensation for the use of their name, image or likeness.

In a major shift, the NCAA will allow college athletes to earn compensation for use of their name, image or likeness. The move comes as legislation is set to become law in several states allowing such compensation.

Every NCAA athlete in the country will be able to make money from endorsements and through a variety of other ventures starting Thursday.

NCAA announce on conference call they intend to adopt name, image & likeness legislation for 2021-22 that will enable athletes to be compensated for endorsements, social media etc.
