The White House announced that travel restrictions on eight southern African nations will end December 3! The travel restrictions were implemented to try to slow the spread of the Omicron variant of Covid-19.

President Joe Biden issued a presidential proclamation Tuesday revoking a proclamation put in place last month that enacted travel restrictions on eight southern African nations, including South Africa, as the Omicron variant began to spread.

The U.S. is set to lift travel restrictions it imposed on eight southern African nations over the new Omicron coronavirus variant.
