Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a national address on Wednesday that 200,000 Russian troops are stationed on Ukraine’s border and the trigger for a Russian invasion can happen “any minute.” Russian President Vladimir Putin secured approval to use armed forces abroad.
Ukraine declared a state of emergency and told its citizens in Russia to come home while Moscow began evacuating its Kyiv embassy in the latest ominous signs for Ukrainians who fear an all-out Russian military onslaught.
