Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy urged the UK to increase the pressure of sanctions

As Ukraine resists the Russian invasion, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed UK MPs, via video link, on Tuesday evening. After Zelenskyy’s speech, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer were able to respond.

Ukrainian President Zelensky quoted Churchill and Shakespeare as he vowed to fight Russia “in the forests, in the fields, on the shores, in the streets”. He spoke virtually from Kyiv in Ukraine as he addressed UK MPs in the House of Commons.

Ukrainian President Zelensky invokes Winston Churchill in emotional address to MPs, promising to fight Russian troops in the air, sea and on the streets.

What people are saying?

Habib Malik But Churchill fought on his own. He didn’t beg other nations to come and fight for him. Vietnamese fought for their rights on their on. Afghanii fought on their on.

Mike Hughes I watched the entire speech. I nearly cried ( yet again) what a guy… unfortunately, I stayed on and accidentally watched our MPs performing gesture politics for their own satisfaction but neither doing nor committing to do anything specific . How long can this go on?
