Ukraine accused Russia on Wednesday of breaking a mutually agreed-upon ceasefire to prevent the evacuation of civilians in Mariupol while adding that an airstrike by Russian forces destroyed a hospital complex in the same city.
Russian bombs have struck two hospitals, one of them a children’s facility, in Zhytomyr, west of Kyiv, the mayor says. There was no immediate word on casualties. Another airstrike Wednesday devastated a maternity hospital in the port city of Mariupol.
