Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says a group of Ukrainians and Russians was planning a coup against him

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that a group of Russian and Ukrainians are planning to stage a coup d’etat in Ukraine next month, and are trying to enlist the help of the country’s richest man, Rinat Akhmetov.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused a group of plotting an attempted coup for next week, saying the country is “in full control of our borders and are fully prepared for any escalation.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy alleges that his country’s intelligence service has uncovered plans for a Russia-backed coup d’etat in Ukraine next week, something which the Russian government denied.
