Zelenskyy appeared virtually on Wednesday in front of US lawmakers to deliver remarks amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. In his address, he compared his country’s present experiences to the incidents of Pearl Harbor and September 11 and again asked for a no-fly zone.
Ukrainian Pres. Zelenskyy addresses Pres. Biden in English at conclusion of his virtual address to U.S. Congress: “Being the leader of the world means to be the leader of peace.”
Hours after he implored the U.S. Congress to send arms, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine called for more and tougher economic sanctions against Russia. “The world must finally officially recognize that Russia has become a terrorist state,” he said.
