What people are saying?
Bella Wallersteiner Over 20 migrantsheadedfor the UK have drowned in the Channel today. Absolutely tragic. Giving France more money is not going to solve this intractable problem. The State is failing the vulnerable people making this treacherous crossing and the British people.
Firewalled_zaza They did their risk assessment before boarding. France allow them to depart from their shores. Sad at the loss of lives but they shouldn’t have. There is a safer way to seek asylum. UK govt should HV robust deterrent controls to make it less tempting. There is no war in France.
