Boris Johnson has said the UK is “not remotely a corrupt country”, but the British public resoundingly disagree. 80% think corruption is either fairly (40%) or very (40%) present in British politics. Only 1% think there is no corruption at all.
The British government is refusing to reveal details of a meeting between Boris Johnson and BP, saying that transparency would not be “in public interest”.
