A group of GOP senators plan to delay a vote to fund the government

A group of GOP senators plan to delay a vote to fund the government to avoid a shutdown despite an earlier agreement from congressional leaders.

After a group of GOP senators threatened to shut down the government over vaccine mandates, lawmakers veered in the opposite direction Thursday night and passed a measure keeping the government open until Feb. 8.

U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., is leading a group of Republican senators seeking to leverage a potential government shutdown into blocking federal vaccine mandates.

What people are saying?

NameFake20 Who’s shocked by this? They were going to block it for one reason or another. If it wasn’t vaccine mandates, it would be the travel ban, and so on. Their agreements don’t mean anything and haven’t for years.

Theresa Benjamin
Those that vote to shutdown, are u so quick then to offer over your pay to those that go without a paycheck for rent, gas and grocery money to feed their families, for the military, federal work force, US citizens, Americans, stressed, forced to work without pay, because u don’t care.
