What people are saying?
Marco Viggiano The duds in a prop gun are harmless at a distance, but at close range they can harm and kill. they tend to behave like a small shotty shell when fired, even if it’s a bullet shooting gun.
Hunter I think the rules are slightly different in film when it’s a prop gun (supposedly) loaded with blanks. There are countless shots of guns being “fired” into camera without incident. This was just a tragic accident and the prop master is likely to blame.
Diane Phillips Prop or not, why was the gun pointed at 2 people not in the scene? With all the prop shootings in tv shows and movies, it seems safety standard operating procedures would be prevalent.
