Authorities said at least three people were killed and 50 others were injured in a derailment involving eight cars of an Empire Builder train near Joplin, Montana.
Amtrak CEO Bill Flynn on NTSB investigation into deadly Montana train derailment: “We are fully cooperating with the investigation… however, until the investigation is complete, we will not comment further on the accident itself.”
The NTSB will investigate an Amtrak derailment in Montana that killed three people and left seven hospitalized. The train was en route to Seattle from Chicago, with two locomotives and 10 cars, when it left the tracks Saturday.
