Former President Donald Trump endorses challenger over US Rep. Peter Meijer of Grand Rapids, who was among 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Trump.

Former President Donald Trump has endorsed a primary challenger running against Republican Rep. Peter Meijer of Michigan in his latest effort to oust the GOP lawmakers who voted to impeach him earlier this year.

Trump has endorsed former staffer John Gibbs’ bid to primary Michigan GOP Rep. Peter Meijer for the Grand Rapids congressional seat. There were several other MAGA candidates in the field, but apparently none to Trump’s liking. Gibbs entered the race very recently.
