Justice Department will address threats targeting school board members

Attorney General Merrick Garland says the Justice Department will address threats targeting school board members, teachers and other employees in the nation’s public schools. A number of threats have been tied to pandemic mask mandates.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has directed federal authorities to meet with local law enforcement about the increase in “harassment, intimidation and threats of violence against school board members, teachers and workers” in public schools.
