No charges filed for task force members in fatal shooting of Winston Smith Jr.

U.S. Marshals will not be charged in the fatal shooting in June of Winston Smith Jr., a Black man, as he sat in an SUV in Minneapolis, prosecutors say. A woman who was with Smith has said the officers were not in uniform and didn’t identify themselves.

The Hennepin county is still claiming there is no body camera footage of the assassination of Winston Smith after releasing a full report. This statement was release by a lawyer who was no where close to the assassination.

Officials say there will be no charges filed against the deputies who fatally shot Winston Smith in June atop a Minneapolis parking ramp.
