A lawyer for one of the three men on trial for murdering Ahmaud Arbery has reportedly asked prosecutors for a plea deal. The request, from a defense attorney for William “Roddie” Bryan Jr., was rejected by prosecutors.

An attorney for one of the three men on trial in the death of Ahmaud Arbery sought a plea deal for his client, but was swiftly turned down by prosecutors, an attorney for Arbery’s mother says.

Ahmaud Arbery defendant asks for plea deal.. The request came from attorneys for William “Roddie” Bryan — the man who admitted to pursuing and boxing in Arbery with his vehicle and filmed the fatal shooting. The prosecution turned it down — flat out.
