The retired Army general stressed the need for members of the Republican Party to “get a grip” and speak out with regards to President Trump’s impeachment inquiry.
“The Republican party has got to get a grip on itself,” Former Secy. of State Colin Powell on the state of the current GOP. “Republican leaders and members of the Congress… are holding back because they’re terrified of what will happen [to] any one of them if they speak out.”

Powell also added that the country’s foreign policy is “a shambles right now”
Colin Powell: “Our foreign policy is a shambles right now….this is not the way the country is supposed to run and Congress is one of the institutions that is supposed to do something about it.”
