The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has shared interim advice that those who are most vulnerable to #COVID19 could be offered a booster vaccination from September.
Israel launched COVID-19 booster shots for people aged over 60 , effectively turning the country into a testing ground for a third dose before approval by the FDA.
Three studies published Wednesday by the CDC show that protection from vaccines declined in the midsummer months when the delta variant rose to dominance. At the same time, protection against hospitalization was strong for weeks after vaccination.
What people are saying?
Grace Davies What about children aged 5-11 ? Where is the vaccine for our kids ? Congress, the AAP and the AAFP are asking!
Deb Austin Be nice if they offered the booster soon to those of us living in areas of high anti-vaxxer activity. Like here in TN. A booster would make me feel more comfortable living here.
Bernie Phillips This threw me off at first because if I remembered correctly, when they were first talking about a booster shot that there wasn’t any harm getting a Pfizer booster if you originally received the Moderna or J&J vaccine. So it sounds like that is being walked back a bit.
