The House Rules Committee is considering a criminal contempt of Congress resolution against former WH chief of staff Mark Meadows

On Tuesday, House lawmakers voted 222-208 on a resolution to hold former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in contempt of Congress after he did not cooperate with the House committee investigating the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

House finds Mark Meadows, former President Trump’s Chief of Staff, in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena from Jan. 6th Cmte investigating US Capitol attack and refer him to Justice Dept for prosecution.

House voted to hold former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with the Jan. 6 select committee subpoena.

What people are saying?

David Wiebe Every Republican save Cheney and Kinzinger voted against the referral. All but two have turned their back on justice for the insurrection and accountability for members of congress. They are fine with what unfolded, and determined to keep it a secret. Never forget.

Scholarly Mama The Republican Party is no longer a political party supporting democracy. They’re pro-autocracy. Democrats like Biden, Sinema, Manchin, etc. insisting on bipartisanship are normalizing Republican fascism. It puts their stalling of voting rights protections in a new light.
