The House select committee investigating the US Capitol riot is considering formally asking former Vice President Mike Pence to voluntarily appear before the panel

Former Vice President Mike Pence will likely be asked to voluntarily appear before the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson, the chair of the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection, tells NPR the committee plans to ask former Vice President Pence to voluntarily testify this month.
