The organized smash-and-grab robbers who’ve targeted mostly high-end stores in California in recent weeks struck again last night. Police say about 20 thieves stormed a Home Depot and walked off with sledgehammers and bolt cutters. A luxury fashion store was also robbed.
At least eight men entered a Home Depot store in California and stole hammers, sledgehammers and crowbars Friday night, prompting concerns about another smash-and-grab incident in the area, authorities said.
The theft comes as similar tools have been used in a number of smash-and-grab robberies at high-end stores in several major US cities this month.
