US drivers have never paid this much for gasoline
The average price of regular gasoline across the U.S. has risen above $4 per gallon for the first time since 2008. According to AAA, the price of regular gas went up by almost 41 cents during the past week.
The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the US has been rapidly increasing since Russia invaded Ukraine, rising about 50 cents since the Feb. 24 invasion.
As gas prices skyrocket across the country, at AmeriCo Gas in Gorda, south of Big Sur, a gallon of regular gas is $7.59. Gas prices in Gorda are typically always higher due to its remote location on the Big Sur coast.
What people are saying?
Michell Sanchez Yeah today the price per barrel dropped by 12%, I bet tomorrow the price for gas won’t drop by 12% the gas station owners are at fault and are taking advantage of the consumer.
Alex Rapp We pay at least double fuel prices long time ago across Europe. Your current price would be an equivalent to $1 for 1 liter. I don’t remember buying such dream cheap fuel for last 30 years.
