US Navy helicopter crashed into the sea off the coast of San Diego.

US Navy says a MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter crashed into the Pacific Ocean while conducting routine flight off the coast of San Diego. No word on possible casualties.

A U.S. Navy helicopter crashed in the ocean off San Diego during a routine flight from an aircraft carrier, military officials say, and a search and rescue operation is underway.

Currently, one crewmember has been rescued and search efforts continue for the other crewmembers of an MH-60S helicopter embarked aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) that crashed into the sea off the coast of San Diego.

What people are saying?

Iste Lee Terrible. Praying for them and their families! Also: There better not be any important soldiers conveniently removed, because that sh*t is not going to fly this time Joe. We remember your last helicopter crash.

Walther PPK All Navy/Marine choppers should have something like an airplane’s inflatable escape slides that can pop out with the push of a button to keep the chopper afloat. Something. Anything is better than crash & hope.
