Anyone notice how hazy the skies have looked of late? This is due to smoke from the U.S. wildfires which is getting transported across the country via the jet stream. While most of the smoke is higher in the sky, some of it could make its way closer to the ground.
The smoke spread up to 2,500 miles downwind of the locations of the wildfires, and could even be seen via satellite.
Much of the U.S. is under an ominous, hazy sky as smoke spreads from the massive wildfires in the West. The hazy skies have even reached New York City.

Vivian Gonzalez Smoke from the wildfires across the West has made it all the way across the country, impacting portions of the Northeast. Air quality alerts have been issued in some states.
MikeracexfyYT Wow thats crazy for a wildfire smoke to travel all the way across the country. California wildfires are really something else because the cause of it is the very hot weather in nevada and arizona in which the temperature is 95-100 degrees. Mother nature is very powerful indeed.
